When I was a small child, I would pretend that I fell asleep in the movie, so that the uncle (who rented a room from us) would carry me home. Right, I was a lazy child.

There is a special sense of uniqueness when someone carries you in his arms. It’s like an unspoken expression of cherishing the precious someone, holding dearly to his heart.

Personally, I prefer piggy-back. I must be insecure. I feel more in control when I piggy-back, I feel less likely to be dropped on the floor.

There is a special meaning of carrying the bride over the threshold, on the wedding day. It’s one of the common traditions shared by many places.
